Planning applications
None - nothing yet regarding the solar farm, dispute on the grade of soil. We are expecting a revised proposal in January.
There is an action group set up dealing specifically with the solar farm who meet on a Thursday night. Colin been delivering leaflets in Chapel Lane and the school been made aware, although no response from them.
Church wall
New quotes are needed, NI to obtain 2-3. The tree also needs attention, no TPOS on any trees in the village. We are looking at grants for this too, may have to match with some fundraising.
Neighbourhood Watch
Colin Batey gets emails from the local police and distributes to certain people. Could look at one central contact for the whole village. NS to look in to.
Village Christmas Lights
Speak to Livesey Arms about decorating the tree outside the pub with solar lights and look to buy lights for rest of the village. Will also decorate the gates at both ends. In the November newsletter we will make the village aware of “Ludborough In Lights” The aim is to encourage everyone to decorate their windows and gardens with lights and Christmas decorations. We will pick a winner and second place and reward with a prize. The children from the village will be judges. Looking to decorate the village for other events such as Remembrance Day.
Fireworks Total
Thank you to Agi, Laura and all the staff at the Livesey Arms for hosting Boinfire Night. As always, the fireworks were amazing and a total of £672 was raised for the church.
Defibrillator
NS ordered and chased twice the new pads and battery; there is a delay at their end. NS to contact them again mid-January.
Newsletter
SM to put together a November newsletter and NI to distribute.
Any Other Business
Halloween Disco Unfortunately, no disco to be held this year as it clashes with half term and a lot of people are away on holiday, so there is not enough help to organise or to run it on the night.
Tractor Run Make everyone aware of the date in the November newsletter.
Village Clean Up Arranging for December in preparation for decorating for Christmas. Will include the date and time in the newsletter. Encourage people to join or to clean up outside of their homes - leaves at curbs etc. Will also add to the Whatsapp group.
Outside Church Lights
The path leading to the church is dark and can be quite dangerous, suggested solar lights - looking to see if there are any grants available for this.
Change of Meeting Days
Everyone happy with moving from a Monday to a Wednesday. Will action this from January 2026.
Date and time of next meeting
The next meeting, is to take place on Wednesday 14th January 2026. Venue TBC
